Some places never really leave us.

The Woods is a quiet reflection of the forests I’ve wandered through over the years—from the towering trees of Northern California to the hidden wooded trails of Texas. Rather than capturing one specific place, this painting gathers the feeling of them all: soft morning light, still water, wild grasses, and the peaceful hush that only the woods can offer.

One of the few oil paintings I’ve created, its gentle blending and dreamy colors lend themselves to memory—those places we carry with us long after we’ve left them. Sometimes the path fades, but the feeling never does.
